A short and quirky track, Animal Disturbancy Merit Badge, was created for a competition on the Reeelapse board. 8 small samples were given out and the rules were to use no other sounds, though you could cut up, loop, distort etc. to your hearts content.

Additionally, we have upgraded all of the mp3 downloads on the site to the highest quality of 320kbps.

Tuesday 15th April

The Achenar - All Will Change album is now available to buy through iTunes. It will also be available at the (currently USA customers only) Amazon MP3 online store very shortly. We will also be offering releases as digital downloads through our own store soon.

Tuesday 18th March

Multi-track files from the instrumental Nine Inch Nails album, Ghosts, have been released and an Achenar remix of track ten, In Prospection, has been completed. As usual, only sounds from the original song are used, but this time there are also excerpts from a recent radio interview, in which Reznor spoke about his newfound freedom.

Thursday 28th February

Welcome to the brand new version of the Earthen Records website. As well as a complete redesign, we now have integrated audio and video streaming, a dynamic information bar on the right and a new Photography section.

All music on the site is now available to stream in the Releases section. You'll also find various useful links to external sites for the artists involved.

Tuesday 29th January

Videos have been created for Achenar track Not To Speak, a short Industrial/Ambient instrumental from the All Will Change album, and the standalone song Mountain Overseer.

Monday 15th October

There are two new tracks available for download this month. The first is another Nine Inch Nails remix, this time of the track, Vessel. Titled Control, See?, it is a focussed, yet at times chaotic interpretation featuring samples from nohurry and uswiretap, which are part of the Year Zero ARG promotional campaign. All other sounds are from the original, bar a hi-hat from Capital G.

The second track is Illuminero, a demo song from 2003 that was never fully developed or completed and so did not make it on to the All Will Change album. It features a blues-jazz guitar sound, honky-tonk piano, a more traditional drum set and some ominous electronics.

In other news, work on the collaboration album between Achenar and Beatslaughter is now underway.
