Created for the 2006 BBC Galapagos Wildlife competition. The video was provided with no sound, the object being to compose for it.
Numerous sounds were recorded for the composition using binaural microphones, giving a natural atmosphere and allowing the string and woodwind sections to weave organically through the overall mix. Split into three acts and complementing the visual changes appropriately both time and emotion wise, this movie ably demonstrates the ability to match music to pre-existing video.
Harrison
This is an evaluatory composition for the accompanying video, which was originally commissioned to Feekzoid. The music was composed to time with certain events occurring within the visuals, complementing and enhancing them, yet remaining fluid enough to be an interesting work when listened to by itself.
Indian Queens
The second of the evaluatory compositions. Again, music was composed to time with certain events occurring within the visuals, but this time is less intrusive and more low-key in order to fit with the desires of the client.
